Peel Tower10/03/2010 16:59 "Pip, pip"??? What is this, 633 Squadron? Time travelling back from the Edwardian era, I'll be riding over the other end of Pendle and having a look at the woods above Whalley; bit of road riding involved, though!
What's up with Duncan, btw - first I've heard.
Toodlepip!

Peel Tower10/03/2010 15:57 Come on Clive, try and keep up. The story so far. Peel Tower is Duncs idea. Dunc is bust. No appetite from other riders for Peel Tower. I want to do a different away ride. Clarky wants a road based home ride. We need a deciderator such as your goodself to adjudicate, that is unless you are reccying the alps or something that night. Pip Pip !! Any thoughts ?

Peel Tower10/03/2010 15:36 Something like the Peel Tower ride, then, Boffer? Clive
Peel Tower10/03/2010 14:45 Sounds boring to me. This is allegedly a mountain bike club not Pendle Forrest Bike club. Why not ask someone new like fras / mick H / Rushy / Osh etc if they have any new rides they want to do. Come on, think outside the box. Run it up the flag pole and all that, throw the seed down for the chickens and see who pecks it. You know it makes sense. Riding the roads of Barley is old hat for me, I am looking for adventure, excitement, dancing girls, lady boys etc. In delias words, cmon, lets be avving you !!!!

Peel Tower10/03/2010 10:02 Could do Weets- over to Downham X rds n come back via water meetings to the Bridge? andywilks
Peel Tower10/03/2010 07:41 Top marks for the irony, Boffer. I could use the evening to recce the Sabden/Whalley loop again, if anyone wants to do summat different - but I'm still a bit vague on the Wiswell woods section. Clive
This Summers Marshalling09/03/2010 23:07 Me and my dad have entered the 160km ride clarky
This Summers Marshalling09/03/2010 21:03 Are you doing the 100km or the 160km? You can do it as a team of 4? Jay Turner

This Summers Marshalling08/03/2010 16:35 I am up for the marshalling on the Sunday 27th June and Wed 14th July. I won't be available on sat 26th June as I'm riding the sportive (hopefully with darnabrook!) clarky
Peel Tower08/03/2010 16:33 I would prefer a local ride as this week's curry ride is an away ride. what about something finishing at the Bridge in barrowford eg Pendle? clarky
Peel Tower08/03/2010 15:54 Can we have some suggestions for next weeks ride instead of Peel tower as there doesnt seem to be an appetite for it. As we have Burnley urban the week after (home ride) it would make sense to do an away ride. I fancy Stanbury / Clapham / Long preston etc but open to what anyone else wants. Has anyone got any new rides in mind that we could try ?

This Summers Marshalling08/03/2010 15:25 Received the following from Mark Sandamas, so Pencil the dates in now boys...

Hi
I know it’s been mentioned at the Cycle Forum and various other places but I’d like to follow up with a formal approach to the club for help at this year’s Festival.

As you know it has expanded to include the National Road Race Championship, greatly raising the profile but also the needs...

Therefore I’d like to ask if you can assist with any of the following:

Sunday 27th June – marshals at National Road Race Champs. Potentially from 7am-7pm but looking at shift rota depending on number etc. As you can imagine we shall need a v large number.

Saturday & Sunday 26th – 27th June – Cycle Show. Having a display or running an activity. This will be in Barley Village car-park (base for the sportive and nationals).

Wed 14th July – Colne Grand Prix. Providing marshals as in previous years.

We shall put together a more detailed brief and arrange pre-event briefing sessions, especially for t
